Gulf News reader Osbert Panakal sent this picture of a baby monkey taken at Dubai Zoo as an appeal against keeping animals in zoos.He wrote: "Animals in captivity ... things that are denied to the prisoner become precisely what he wants most of all." The reader has a keen interest in wildlife photography and is based in Sharjah.Panakal took this picture of a baboon eating a mango at the Dubai Zoo on a hot day in July. He wrote: "I fear ... freedom must taste better."This baboon appears to be "waiting". The reader argues through images against the captivity of animals.Panakal captures a vulture in repose and writes, "... savour the last drop".
